Welcome to Brooke's Mill
Brooke’s Mill is believed to be the oldest family business in the UK dating back to 1541. It’s renaissance from a long history of wool textile manufacturing into a diverse community of growing businesses of the future, provides an ideal backdrop for enterprise, creativity and inspiration as well as heritage living.
Business Spaces
First opened as an office park in 1994 following the closure of wool textile manufacturing on the site. There are now over 30 businesses on the site.
Our Heritage
The origins of the family business of John Brooke & Sons go back to the time of Henry V111 and the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16C.
North Light Gallery
The North Light Gallery offers creative spaces for events, conferences and meetings and is conveniently located just a 10 minute drive from Huddersfield.
Film Studios
North Light Film Studios are one of the largest independent Film Studios in the North, located in beautiful countryside halfway between Manchester and Leeds.
Location
Brooke’s Mill is perfectly located 3 miles south of Huddersfield, between the vibrant cities of Leeds and Manchester. The M62 and M1 are just 20 minutes away.
Living Spaces
There are currently 5 mill workers cottages which have been recently refurbished in the historic Conservation area of Armitage Bridge.
